AKGEC SKILLS FOUNDATION, An initiative by AKG Engineering College to promote industry oriented skills in line with ‘Make in India’ and ‘Skill-India’ mission in young people ranging from 8th class onwards to Graduate/post graduate in engineering & science and Industry employees at middle and senior level.
The developed skills will help the young aspirants to advance their career and enhance their employment opportunities in various sectors of industry.

AKGEC has been instrumental in creating knowledge related to skill development in the field of Automation, Robotics and Manufacturing through CORE. To further enhance its competency in skill development, AKGEC Skills Foundation has been incorporated as a section 8 company on 19th March, 2015    .

This initiative of AKGEC/IIMES is supported by National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. The successful implementation of CORE model of Industry-Institute collaboration is to be expanded further at AKGEC Skills.

These trainings will be conducted for various NSQF levels mainly for level 2 to level 7 to produce Industry relevant manpower in accordance with National Occupational Standard/ QPs defined by various SSCs for respective Industry segment.

The trainings under this initiative are to be conducted in accordance with National Occupational Standard (NOS), and expected to meet the requirement of Industry sectors such as Automobile & Auto Components Sector, Machine Tools, Power & Electrical Equipments and Light Engineering Goods etc.

The college was established in 1998 and offers B.Tech Courses in seven disciplines of Engineering.The college also offers postgraduate course in Computer Applications (MCA) and M.Tech in Automation and Robotics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Power & Energy Systems, VLSI Design and Mechanical Engineering. The college is accredited by NAAC and certified for ISO 9001-2008 by BSI, UK


The college has been consistently maintaining excellent academic results and placements. The college has the distinction of being the first and only college in UP to receive the Academic Excellence Award for the Best Engineering College in UPTU from H.E. the Governor of UP for two successive years. In year 2014-15 also, the college has achieved unbeatable distinction of 21 positions in the merit list with 3 Gold, 1 Silver & 2 Bronze medals.

AKGEC, jointly with our industry partners, has set up Advance Manufacturing Centre for Educational Institutions at Ghaziabad.

The AKGEC- AMC is setup to produce highly skilled technical manpower in the field of Advance Manufacturing. The trained manpower will help Indian Manufacturing Industry to adopt latest technologies to improve quality and work condition with high productivity.

This collaborative effort of AKGEC and industry partners has the main objective to encourage young professionals to take up this cross disciplinary field as a career of their choice and acquaint them with latest technological developments in the field of manufacturing and Reverse Engineering.

Goals:Goal of this training is to get all basic acquirements for the operations and programming of the Coordinate Measuring Machine. This will also provide good understanding of Reverse Engineering concepts along with Inspection and Quality in manufacturing.
